We as a
B.A.S.S Federation Nation (BFN) club, require all of
our members to be in good standing with the Bass
Anglers Sportsman Society. Our club tournaments,
(fished for fun or not) are geared to help you qualify

your chapter tournaments as well as access to special
tournament supplies.

Casting Kids, family fishing events, conservation
projects etc.) and $9,000 AD&D coverage 24 hours a

- Priority entry into the Bassmaster Tours and Opens on
the amateur side.
- Federation clubs receive free CastingKids kits to

- Access To Little-Known Opportunities thru BASS
- BASS has several excellent publications like “How To
Keep Bass Alive” that are available for OBFN members.
These and other handouts, including back issues of
Bassmaster and BASS TIMES can be obtained as handouts
for Sportsman Shows and community events.
- Several Canadian BASS members have learned it is not
that hard to find a keen US BASS member to take them
out fishing while visiting down south. Trips like this
are usually an exchange “day-on the-water” there for a
“day-on the water here.”
The road to the Bassmasters Classic starts with your
first Aurora Bassmaster club event!
Your participation in club tournaments can offer you an
opportunity to compete in the OBFN Championships at the
end of August. The Aurora Bassmasters are unique
amongst the 25 odd OBFN clubs in that we have always
paid the entry fees for the top 5 boaters and 5 non
boaters. At the Hank Gibson Provincial OBFN
Championship, top anglers from BFN clubs across Ontario
strive not so much for big prizes or cash incentives,
but for the honor of becoming part of Team Ontario. The
12 person Team Ontario members plus an alternate will
travel the following year to the Eastern Divisional
Federation Championships against 9 other BFN states.
Ontario’s team, which invariably represents all of
Canada is almost always fully funded thru profits from
the previous year’s Provincial Championships. At
this no entry fee event anglers from each
state/province not only compete as one unit – with
great prizes for the top team, but they also strive to
be the top placing angler on their own team. From
there, this person will continue to represent the
province and country at the BFN National Championship
event – where all 53 Federation Nation’s are
represented with their top angler for that year.
At this mini Bassmasters Classic anglers will aim
not so much to win the overall event, but to be the top
placing angler in their own division. There are six
BASS Masters Classic berths offered to Federation
Nation anglers only ... and if you are fortunate enough
to make it that far you will compete for over $500,000
top prize against the best professional anglers in the
world. And ... it all
begins with your first Aurora Bassmasters club
tournament!
