announce a sponsorship agreement with the
FisherGirl International Women's Fishing team.
Mustang and the Anglers of the FisherGirl
International Women's fishing team are dedicated to
making a difference and saving lives.
"This international team of dedicated women bass anglers will help Mustang deliver the safe boating message to anglers worldwide. Through our partnership we intend to familiarize anglers with the various life jacket options. From flotation coats and suits that are designed for cold water or ice fishing, to inflatable life jackets that are ideal for high temperature / high humidity environments," said Frank Leffelaar, Marketing Manager at Mustang.
"There are many times when we're out on the water alone, wearing the Mustang Survival inflatable life jacket offers us the safety we need when we are pre-fishing. It's so comfortable we can wear it all the time", added Darla Bardelli, FisherGirl Team Captain.
This is the first time an all-star cast of international women anglers have come together to promote fishing for women of all ages, raise awareness for breast cancer research and represent the innovator of marine survival products.
The 2007 FisherGirl International Fishing Team line-up represents 5 women from 3 countries fishing in the 2007 Women's Bassmaster Tour:
Dianna Clark, 2006 Women's Bassmaster Tour Angler of the Year, from Bumpus Mills, Tenn.
Darla Bardelli, national radio talk show host and professional angler, from Phoenix, Ariz.
Angela Mitchell, professional angler, from Ontario, Canada
JoDee Lake, professional angler, from Bessemer, Ala.
Christie Thomas, international professional angler, from South Africa.

Nothing could be more appropriate than to embrace our Women's Bassmaster Tour and ensure their safety on the water," said Ray Scott, founder of BASS. "Our anglers are subjected to hazardous conditions anytime they are on the water. Having the Mustang PFD is a mark of excellent to ensure their safety. After-all, if Mustang Survival is good enough for the NASA program it is essential for the WBT."
